The Aluminium Chair is a landmark design of the twentieth century, created by Charles and Ray Eames in 1958 for an art collector's home in Columbus, Indiana. Departing from the traditional seat shell concept, the Eameses stretched a fabric or leather panel between two aluminium side members, forming a taut yet flexible seat. This design conforms to the sitter's body, offering exceptional comfort without the need for elaborate upholstery.
