Creating a vibrant workplace for the Department of Psychology

Tasked with completing a tender within a tight deadline, we utilised precise planning to deliver enhanced learning spaces for University College Birmingham.

In September 2024, we won a competitive tender from University College Birmingham (UCB) to install essential furniture across several floors, adhering to a strict five-week timeline. Delivery started within just 2 weeks from the project being awarded.

The project was executed in three phases: Phase 1 (September 10–27) involved installing teaching furniture on floors 5 and 6. Phase 2 (September 28–October 11) completed with lounge seating, café seating, and storage solutions installed on floors 1 and 2 as well as offices for academics, and Phase 3 (October 31–November 1) involved 500 tables and 650 student chairs being installed.

Over 1,250 furniture pieces were installed on schedule, ensuring minimal disruption to academic operations. Hunts’ careful planning and efficient execution further solidified their reputation for successfully managing large-scale, high-quality projects within tight deadlines.
